Festival fever comes to Bermondsey Square

For the third year running Bermondsey will celebrate all things stylish and local in a chic village fete that will take over Bermondsey Street, Tanner Street Park and Bermondsey Square.

The fun and festivities in the Square will kick off at One O’Clock. On the main stage, which takes the form of a Green Goddess fire engine, there will be live music all day from local acts and DJs including Nigel of Bermondsey and South-East London’s resident duo Cage & Aviary. Comedy acts, courtesy of the Bermondsey Square Hotel, and the London’s Comedy Club. As the sun goes down the Square will be transformed into a free open-air cinema with a giant screen showing Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo and Juliet.

Stalls from The London Farmers Market will be showcasing a range local, seasonal produce straight from the farmer throughout the day. Food and drink will also be on offer from Del’Aziz, Shortwave and the Bermondsey Square Hotel.
